  1. The first step is to find the ice maker. This should be a white box (that may or may not have a cover on it) located in the back left-hand corner of the ceiling of the fridge.
  2. Now you need to find the reset button, this may also be referred to as the test switch. To find this look past the cover on the front, if there is one, and underneath where the motor is located. Once you have found the button, firmly press and hold the button until you hear the motor fire up and then release.
  3. The final step is the easiest one! Leave the ice maker for 24 hours.

Resetting a Samsung French Door refrigerator ice maker

Firstly, you need to determine whether your refrigerator has a heated tray, if this is the case, follow this set of instructions. If not then skip to the next set of instructions.

  1. Firstly, make sure that the Samsung ice maker is not turned off. If it is then turn it back on and leave for 24 hours.
  2. Next, you need to open the door and find the ice bucket which should be in the top left-hand corner. Find the release on the right side of the bucket and use it to remove the bucket from its position.
  3. Now you need to locate the reset button on the right-hand side of the ice maker. You will be looking for a rubber, rectangular button. If you have a model older made in or older than 2009, you will need to hold this button for ten seconds. Whereas, if your model was made in 2010 or later then you simply need to hold the button until a chime plays, this indicates that the reset is beginning.
  4. This is the easy bit, you simply need to wait 24 hours!

If your Samsung ice maker does not have a dispenser or has two ice makers then you should follow this guide. This process is the same as the process for the Samsung Bottom Mount refrigerator ice makers.
